Sail across the lake to explore the beguiling Uros floating islands, made entirely from totora reeds and home to the Pre-Inca Uros community who have maintained their lifestyle for hundreds of years. As well as the islands, the inhabitants’ homes and fishing boats are also made out of totora reeds and you’ll have the opportunity to meet and spend time with the skilled reed craftsmen and women to get to know their ancient craft and culture.
